Participants
Limited to 120 places.
Two Classes:
Apprentice, covering apprentices and enthusiastic amateurs with fewer than 3 years’ experience.
Master, for qualified masons, master masons, sculptors and amateurs/hobbyists with more than 3 years’ experience.
THe Task
The task involves carving a work using the block of Creeton Silverbed limestone provided by the organisers.
There is a time limit of approximately 16 hours to complete the piece.
All participants are required to work from their own design sketches and/or maquette, which should be based on the festival theme.
Limitations
All participants must bring their own tools.
No power tools allowed.
Sketches and or maquettes must be on display for festival visitors to see.
Entry Fee
£45 per participant.
All Competitor spaces are now filled.
The reserve list has also now been filled.
